2026 IIHF World Junior Championship
The IIHF World Junior Championship is one of the most recognized international hockey events, featuring the world’s top under-20 players competing on a global stage. Held annually from late December to early January, the tournament brings together the best hockey nations and serves as a key development platform for future professional talent.
Since becoming an official event in 1977, the tournament has grown significantly in profile, especially in Canada, where it remains a major part of the holiday sports calendar. Known for its pace, intensity, and high level of competition, it consistently showcases the next generation of elite players.
This work highlights pre-tournament exhibition games between Canada and Sweden on December 17 in Kitchener and December 20 in London, created as part of the lead-up to the 2026 tournament.
